Meet Bre

Bre began her career in the beauty industry in 2016. She received her Esthetics license after attending Aveda Institute in Washington, D.C., and later studied Master Esthetics in Virginia at Graham Webb Academy. 

Always looking to further her education and expand her skills, she's attended several pro makeup artistry classes, including a six week course at Bennett Career Institute and a three week course at Priscilla M Beauty Academy. 

Over the years, she's worked with several well known companies including MAC Cosmetics, Urban Decay, Benefit Brow Bar and Sephora. She founded Bre Monique Artistry in 2021 to pursue her passion of connecting with women and helping them feel beautiful. In 2023, she founded her second business, Poetry&Candles, to help promote self love and self care.

  • Yes! I'm a mobile makeup artist and will come to you — whether that's your home, hotel, or event venue. Travel fees may apply depending on distance.

  • I'm based in Montgomery County, Maryland, but I serve clients all throughout the DMV area.

  • I use a mix of luxury and high-performance professional brands including MAC, Make Up For Ever, Tarte, Juvia’s Place, and NYX.

  • Nope! I come fully equipped with everything needed for your service. Just show up ready to be pampered.

  • Everyday and natural glam appointments typically take about 60–90 minutes. Bridal makeup runs closer to 1.5 to 2 hours to allow time for detailed skin prep and a more tailored application. Please schedule your appointment time accordingly so you don’t feel rushed.

  • Yes! I start all appointments with skin prep and apply long-wear techniques throughout your service to keep your makeup looking fresh from the moment I finish until the end of your event.

  • Absolutely! We can even do multiple if it is needed. Trials are highly recommend for bridal clients, as it gives us the chance to perfect your look before the big day. Come with inspiration photos if you have them, but keep an open mind too. I love collaborating to find what works best for your features and overall vision. Trials are booked and priced separately from your event appointment.

  • As soon as you have a date! Bridal bookings in particular fill up quickly, especially between spring and fall. I'd recommend reaching out at least 6-9 months ahead for wedding to make sure your date is available.

  • Yes, there is a $25 non-refundable deposit required to officially hold your date. Your deposit will go towards your service. Deposits can be made via Zelle, Venmo, or CashApp.

  • Life happens — I get it! Cancellations made with at least 2 days notice can be rescheduled based on availability. Cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment will result in a forfeiture of your deposit. Please reach out as soon as possible if something comes up.

  • The best way to reach me is through the contact page on this site. I aim to respond quickly — typically within one business day!

  • For payment, I accept cash, Zelle, Venmo, and CashApp. 

  • Come with a clean, bare face and no makeup on! If you can, gently exfoliate your lips and skin the night before for the smoothest application. And most importantly, come ready to enjoy the experience!
